Senior Principal Security Architect at ARM

Roberto is a trained composer and holds a doctorate in mathematics, having studied algebraic geometry under Gerhard Frey. He then moved to cryptography. After his seventh year itch with academic life, he left a Junior Professorship in Cryptology at the Ruhr University Bochum to join Qualcomm’s Product Security Team. 5 1/2 dazzling years later he moved to ARM, where he is now a Senior Principal Security Architect and the company Cryptographer. His greatest achievement is his son Leonardo, but most of the development work has been actually done by the mom.

Gil Bernabeu is the Technical Advisor for the Standardization and Technology Department at Gemalto. In this role, he supports Gemalto’s marketing and product groups to deploy trusted and convenient digital services.
Mr. Bernabeu was elected as GlobalPlatform’s Techical Director in 2005. His main role is to drive forward the development of GlobalPlatform’s Specifications to deploy secure services. Mr Bernabeu also acts as GlobalPlatform’s central technical liaison point, coordinating the efforts of the organization’s three technical committees – Secure Element (SE), Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) and Trusted Platform Services (TPS) – and the GlobalPlatform Task Forces with external partners.

Andrew Dellow has 20 years’ experience in system on chip security starting with the original development of robust Set Top Box SoCs for Pay TV. Currently Chief Security Architect at HiSilicon Technologies, he is responsible for security strategy and architecture for the terminal chipset division, including IoT, TV, STB, IP Camera and connectivity chipsets. Formerly a Distinguished Engineer and Technical Director at Broadcom Corp., and Security Architect at STMicroelectronics, he has been deeply involved in driving secure architectures and implementations for consumer devices, holding more than 30 patents in the area of SoC security

Marc Witteman

CEO at Riscure

Marc Witteman has an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. From 1989 till 2001 he worked for several telecom operators, the ETSI standardization body and a security evaluation facility.
In 2001 he founded Riscure, a security lab based in the Netherlands. Riscure offers test tools and services to manufacturers and issuers of advanced security technology.
Between 2001 and 2009 he raised the company to a leading security test lab, and side channel test tool vendor. In 2010 Marc Witteman started Riscure Inc, the US branch of Riscure, based in San Francisco. At present he is the Chief Executive Officer of Riscure.
