In an extremely bizarre and unfortunate turn of events, we suffered a theft, involving a valuable collection of tools, hardware, and branded materials used for our Hardwear.io Conf, Hardwear CTF, and HardPwn contests, workshops and event logistics..

The incident occurred between 1 February and 26 April at our storage unit in The Hague, The Netherlands, which is used for storing all our conference equipment and tools. The suspect broke into the storage through the roof.

Here’s a list of the stolen gear (not limited):

In addition to the technical equipment, the following conference materials and branded items were also stolen:

  • Nullcon Jackets & Swag

These items represent years of effort, collaboration, and community spirit — essential elements that bring our events to life and push the boundaries of hardware security.

We’re currently assessing the full extent of the loss and working with local law enforcement authorities to investigate the incident. In the meantime, we’re grateful for the continued support of the Hardwear.io community, and we’ll share updates as we know more.
